TORRANCE, Calif., April 25, 2020- Beginning today, the City of Torrance will be accepting Torrance Certified Farmers’ Market curbside pick-up orders from Torrance residents in the at-risk population. Torrance Cares: Farmers Market Curbside Pick-Up will allow Torrance seniors, those with disabilities and residents with underlying health conditions to pre-order produce directly from the farmer and pick it up at the Wilson Park without having to get out of the car.
Customers will pre-order and pay the Farmer directly in advance. Customers will drive by for pick-up between 11 a.m. and noon on their designated pick up day. Staff will deliver orders to customers in the comfort of their vehicle, at the Wilson Park roundabout. At-Risk residents can customize orders or choose from a variety of pre-selected produce boxes. All sales will be final. To view participating Farmers and explore produce options visit www.CityofTorranceCA.com/TCFarmersMarket. The Torrance Cares: Farmers Market Curbside Pick-Up is the newest program the City of Torrance has rolled out in their Torrance Cares Campaign.
