City of Torrance Offers Grocery Delivery Service to At-Risk Population During COVID-19 Pandemic3/29/2020 TORRANCE, Calif., March 29, 2020- Beginning Tuesday, March 31st , the City of Torrance will be
offering a grocery delivery service to the COVID-19 at-risk population. Torrance Cares 2-Go is intended to support Torrance seniors, those with disabilities and residents with underlying health conditions during the COVID-19 pandemic so they can be successful in their “Safer at Home" efforts. The Torrance Cares 2-Go Care Package provides an 18 pre-selected essential grocery and sanitary items that are sourced from an area grocer for $70 delivered straight to their door. Service is Limited to 1 order per household, per week, while supplies last. Qualifying Torrance Residents can place their order beginning tomorrow, March 30 by calling 310- 618-6339 Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. or submit online anytime at www.CityofTorranceCA.com/TC2Go.html . Payments for this service will be made over the phone by credit card only. The City will attempt to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. Depending on volume, the fulfillment of some orders may take up to 3 business days. A City employee will notify customers of delivery date prior to delivery. The Torrance 2-Go Care Package will be delivered by a uniformed City Employee in a City marked fleet vehicle. An area Grocer will source items based on product availability for City delivery to your residence. Some orders may vary in size and may potentially be substituted with similar items.
