TORRANCE, Calif., March 1, 2020 – At 2:30 a.m., computer systems at the City of Torrance experienced a digital compromise interrupting email accounts and server function. Safety operations continue to have access to communications. However, certain city business services are compromised.
The Transit store opening will be delayed until tomorrow at noon. City libraries will remain open during regular business hours. Government agency cyber experts are currently investigating the source of the attack. Staff is working with the appropriate agencies to resolve all issues. Public personal data has not been impacted.
