3/17/2020

TORRANCE, Calif., March 17, 2020 - The Torrance Transit System (TTS) will operate a temporary modified bus schedule beginning March 18 in an effort to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 while providing essential bus service to the public. Line 4X and Line 6 will have a modified schedule and all other lines will operate under Saturday schedule Monday through Friday.

Line 4X AM service will begin 10 minutes later and end 30 minutes earlier. PM service begin 40 minutes earlier and end 15 minutes later. In addition, there will be no mid-day service and frequency will reduce to every 30 minutes. Line 6 Eastbound AM service will begin 25 minutes later. Eastbound PM service will end 8 minutes later and westbound PM 45 minutes later. There will also be no mid-day service. Saturday schedules begin later and may have different frequency so we advise patrons to plan ahead and review modified schedules at www.CityofTorranceCA.com.

TTS and the City of Torrance are closely monitoring Coronavirus/COVID-19 in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the following guidelines issued by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  TTS will continue to operate with modifications to normal bus schedules while implementing additional cleaning and sanitizing measures on board our buses to protect patrons and bus operators. Torrance Transit may further modify schedules in order to comply with all the public safety health requirements.
