Current Reopenings
​Los Angeles County residents are doing their part to follow the County’s “Safer at Home” Health Officer Order which has  slowed the spread of COVID-19.  Los Angeles County is now taking its first steps towards reopening businesses and getting people back to work!
The following is a list of businesses that are re-opening, listed by date:


As of September 28, 2021, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer has issued a revised order that requires operators of Outdoor Mega Events to cross-check proof of full vaccination or negative COVID-19 viral test result against a photo identification for all attendees who are 18 years of age or older. This Order was issued on Friday, September 17, 2021 and is effective as of 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021

SECTORS THAT CONTINUE TO REQUIRE ADDITIONAL RISK REDUCTION MEASURES

Health Care and Home Care Workers
  • All employers of health care and home care workers are mandated to document their fully vaccinated status; for those with approved medical or religious exemptions, document weekly or twice weekly regular testing for COVID-19.

All Indoor Public Settings, Venues, Gatherings, and Businesses
  • Requires face masks to be worn by all persons, regardless of vaccination status, while in all indoor public settings and businesses. Some examples are: offices, retail, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings and state and local government offices serving the public.

Bars, Breweries, Wineries, Distilleries, Nightclubs and Lounges
  • Proof of vaccination status will be required for indoor services at these businesses

Mega Events (Indoor/Outdoor)
  • All persons must wear a face mask, except when actively eating or drinking
  • All attendees (ages 12 and up) involving 1000 or more persons must, prior to entry, show verification of COVID-19 vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 (diagnostic) test result.

Youth Sports
  • Requires specific infection control protocols for Youth Sports effective Sept. 1, 2021.
As of September 17, 2021, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer has issued a revised order that requires proof of vaccination status for Outdoor Mega Events of all patrons 12 and older.  Proof of vaccination status will also be required for indoor services at bars, breweries, wineries, distilleries, nightclubs and lounges. This Order was issued on Friday, September 17, 2021 and is effective as of 11:59 PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021

As of July 22, 2021, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer has issued a Revised Order that requires face masks to be worn by all persons, regardless of vaccination status, while in all indoor public settings and businesses and is effective as of 11:59 P.M. Saturday, July 17, 2021. It also clarifies that customers, guests, and patrons are not required to wear a face mask indoors while actively eating or drinking in a stationary place, receiving a personal care service that requires the removal of their mask, or when alone in a room or office.

As of June 14, 2021, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer has issued a Revised Order that rescinds most Los Angeles County Department of Public Health sector-specific protocols and aligns with the State Beyond the Blueprint for Industry and Business Sectors and the accompanying memoranda and orders of the State Public Health Officer and is effective as of 12:01 A.M., Wednesday June 15, 2021.
